Colours in Abstract

Book Illustrations

This is an illustrated project to help explain the meaning of colour to children and their adults.

Colour holds immense significance in our lives, impacting our emotions, overall well-being, and even physical sensations. For centuries, it has served as a powerful symbol of mental and emotional states, believed to possess healing properties. Colours not only aid in object recognition but also trigger physiological responses, shaping our perception and interaction with the world.

I created a series of illustrations that delve into the essence of colour and its significance for children and young individuals.

Pink: Caring > Kindness begins with self-compassion
Purple: Pride and Exclusion > Beauty without kindness can be lonely.
